The Center for Technology and Society was founded in 1995 and is a central research department of the Technical University of Berlin (TUB). Its research focus lies on interactions between societal and technical developments. The Area "Mobility and Space" researches on questions of human mobility and commercial transport. In addition to foundational research, they offer consultation for politics and businesses on local, national and international levels as well assupport for the planning and implementation of innovative mobility proposals in urban and rural areas.
In cities.multimodal, TUB is responsible for the preparatory analyses of the city partner pilot areas as well as for the overall evaluation of the project activities.
