The Polish Union of Active Mobility (PUMA) carried out a promotion and educational campaign in the field of mobility management named “Mobility Kindergartens – Active Kids”. As a part of the campaign 13 kindergartens received kick scooters for kids. The kick scooters are available for rental and for commuting to and from the kindergarten.
The goals of the campaign are to:
- educate local communities about mobility points and the benefits of using them,
- promote active mobility and physical activity among kindergarten kids and, by extension, their families and friends,
- create a positive image of active mobility in local communities and influence the behaviour of the future generations.
The campaign material comprises 156 scooters, 2000 information packages (leaflets with stickers), 13 rental books with regulations and room for bookkeeping, 13 certificates, chalk, crayons and about 800 colouring sheets (13 different patterns). The campaign successfully visited 13 kindergartens and thereby involved 1500 children and 7500 people by extension (family & friends). In the future the precise results will be measured thanks to our rental book left in each kindergarten for keeping track of the scooters.
There where smiles on the kids’ faces when they saw the scooters!
